Lip Pre Care

  1. Keep lips moisturized

  2. Lightly scrub lips

  3. Stay hydrated

  4. AVOID: blood thinning substances; alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, anti-inflammatory drugs, for 48hrs prior.

  5. AVOID: Coffee day of

  6. DO NOT: workout the day of

  7. LIP FILLER: must be done 3-4 weeks before procedure or 4 weeks after

  8. COLD SORES: If you’re prone to cold sores it is advised you consult our primary doctor to get prescribed for Valtrex of a medication to help reduce the chances of an outbreak

    a. this does not mean that an outbreak will not happen, it will help those prone to them to possibly prevent

    b. those not prone to cold sores may still get them

Lip Aftercare

  1. Keep the area clean: It is important to keep the treated area clean to help prevent infection and ensure proper healing.

    a. Gently clean the area with mild water and pat, a few times a day.

  2. AVOID Picking: Scratching or Rubbing: Do Not Pick or scratch at the treated area as that can lead to infection and may cause the pigment to fade or become uneven.

  3. Avoid direct sun exposure: Avoid exposing the treated area to direct sunlight or tanning beds for at least two-three weeks after the procedure. Sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade or become discolored.

  4. Protect the area and keep it moisturized with ointment protect.

  5. Avoid strenuous activities: Avoid activities that may cause sweating or irritation to the treated area, such as exercise or hot showers, for at least a few days after the procedure.

  6. AVOID for 7 Days: Kissing (open mouth especially), spicy/hot/acidic foods, sun exposure, smoking, makeup, close contact with pets, scratching/picking/rubbing long hot showers…and ummm going downtown ;)

  • IT IS…

    A cosmetic tattoo procedure in which semi-permanent pigments are tattooed on to the lips toenhace their natural color ad shape. Gives the lips the appearance of a subtle, tinted lip color and creates a more defined and even lip color without needin to apply daily lip makeup.

    IT IS NOT…

    A lip filler. Lip blushing can give the illusion that the lips are filler y defining the lips but it is not a filler. Any swelling that occurs subsides soon after.

    Women who are pregnant and nursing, have active skin condition like cold sores or any other skin condition on or around lips, allergic to components in pigment, healing issues, orthose who have unrealistic expectations.
